Speed Rail

SPEED RAIL™

The smooth inverted SHARK Speed Rail™ was introduced in 2014 to keep debris from collecting in slides. Over a decade later, it’s still setting the standard for its ability to provide a consistently smooth ride and positive connection.

The idea to invert the slides was a deceptively simple idea shared by a valued customer. In the spirit of creating the Ultimate racing shell, every aspect of this innovation was scrutinized. Apart from the debris shedding property of the profile, the Speed Rail allows the wheels to better engage the slide to stay more connected, even as athletes twist out to the catch. Additionally, every Speed Rail is treated with a highly corrosion-resistant, self-lubricating surface.

The Speed Rail’s profile was modeled in-house with a reduced cross sectional mass. Every Speed Rail is treated with a NASA-developed surface coating that provides an extreme level of hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, as well as being a permanent lubricant.
